Dell Design Studio teams up wth Threadless

Known for its unique, community-driven creatively designed tees, Threadless is 10 years in business and has decided to add a line to Dell's Design Studio range.

The line, called the Threadless Collection, adds 11 new laptop designs, including Grandma's Hot Air Balloon by featured student artist Brent Schoepf.

"The Threadless community creates unique, critically-acclaimed original designs. By teaming with Threadless and offering exclusive designs through Design Studio, we enable students and families an exciting way to differentiate their Dell Mini or Studio laptop PCs," said Rachna Bhasin, general manager, strategic partnerships and personalisation, Dell.

"We are also excited to enable passionate artists to share their inspiration."

This is the first time that Threadless has moved from tees, hoodies and art prints into the consumer electronics market, but it fits well with the company whose entire business has evolved in the online space, allowing users to both submit and rate designs via its webpage.

"We're very excited to team with Dell in giving Threadless designers a new canvas to showcase their art: the laptop cover," said Jake Nickell, founder and chief strategy officer of Threadless.

"As we move into our second decade, this is an amazing opportunity for Threadless artists to expose their designs to a broader audience while giving Dell customers the ability to personalise their Dell laptops in a cool way."
